Plan would protect jobs of military family members
Mon Jan 30, 2012
Sorry but just because you put on a uniform and decide to risk your life by YOUR choosing, doesn't mean you should get special treatment. as dpaul states, all of us should get the same protection.
Lose a job, prepare for a really long job search
Fri Jan 20, 2012
My partner is still looking and looks everyday for hours. Has worked with hiring companies etc. So please don't make the assumption that it's a lack of effort. And no, even I would not take just any job with any pay and little benefits.
Lose a job, prepare for a really long job search
Fri Jan 20, 2012
Sorry but it's more like a year or more. My partner has been out of work for a year. I have neighbors who have been out of work for as long as two years. And as long as companies don't want to hire the unemployed this timeline will continue to stretch out. Which means you're screwed.
This could be the year fed-up employees have had it
Mon Jan 16, 2012
I hate my job and cannot wait to leave it (have started to look). I work terrible hours; am expected to be available weekends, nights and days. My pay is decent though not great. The work is boring and demanding. I am willing to take a pay cut to be happier in my work life. Money is not everything.
Role reversal: Employers say they can't find workers
Fri Jan 13, 2012
Couldn't agree with you more. For some reason companies and the people that run them think because you have a college degree you are the magical person that will make everything all right or better. While I have nothing against people with degrees (good for you) they are over hyped.
Role reversal: Employers say they can't find workers
Fri Jan 13, 2012
Employers are absolutely absurd with this kind of comment. Since when has all of the sudden the skills of the employee run dry? No, the real problem is, companies do not want to pay people for their experience or skills. Pay is on the cheap. My partner has been out of work for a year.
No toys for my boys this holiday season
Sun Dec 18, 2011
My children get one or two presents, that's it. They also learn that donation is a big part of the holidays and they help pick out toys that will go to the needy. We also donate food to the shelters. As many have said here, it's not about the getting, it's about the giving.
What to do when you loathe your job
Sun Dec 4, 2011
And thats a bs to your comment too. It's not easy just to get a new job or get back to work. I despise my job. My boss is an idiot and the stress of my job is relentless. Try finding a job in this economy right now. So I work however it's not with any enthusiasm or with any serious effort.
Most of the unemployed no longer receive benefits
Sat Nov 5, 2011
My spouse has been out of work for 10 months now. Has done everything they can to get interviews and get hired. On the resume they didn't put months on the job, just years. This seems to help get the interview calls.
Frugal food: Protein that doesn't kill your pocketbook

Most of the fat found in peanut butter is monounsaturated which is healthy for your heart and lowers bad cholesterol. At least five major studies confirm that eating peanuts can lower risk for coronary heart disease.
